The holidays are always such a stressful time. You want to make sure your guests and loved ones feel welcome, but you find yourself stuck in the kitchen making a meal, and unable to join them. There is no need to feel this much stress. Oklahoma City offers some of the best Thanksgiving Day meal options in the US. Try one of these three kitchens so that you can spend less time in your own, and more time with your loved ones.

It's not an obvious choice, but the Oklahoma City Museum of Art offers exquisite holiday meals through their Museum Cafe. They offer three different choices of meals, based on how many people you are serving. And you should be warned- these meals are not cheap. But you will not find a better holiday meal without hiring a personal chef. There are offerings throughout their menus such as Whole Roasted Poussin with Chestnut Sage Dressing, Artichoke Barigoule, and Prosciutto Wrapped White Asparagus. Their menus range from $70 for two to $700 for twelve guests. However if you are having a formal Thanksgiving dinner and you want to support a good cause, there is no better place to get your Thanksgiving Day meal. They are accepting orders through November 17th, and you can pick them up November 22nd, between 2 and 4pm. Call (405) 236-3100 and ask for the Museum Cafe to place an order.

Pass Your Plate is one of a new type of service popping up all over the nation. These type places prepare the ingredients, you assemble enough meals for a week or two within only a couple of hours, and then they clean up after the assembly while you take the meals home and cook or re-heat them. And while they are handy throughout the year, they are especially handy around the holidays. You do not have to dirty every dish in your home getting a lot of side dishes ready, and you can assemble the entire meal in one evening. Then you take it home and follow the instructions for cooking it. Serve the meal and enjoy it with your guests instead of worrying about the clean up job awaiting you. Their holiday menu includes items such as Roast Pork Loin, Sausage and Wild Rice Dressing, and Luscious Pumpkin Butter Cake. Pass Your Plate has several locations. Visit their website to find the one closest to you.

Pearl's Oyster Bar offers a good opportunity to have a holiday meal, without it being composed of the same traditional foods. Because they are a Cajun restaurant, they specialize in Cajun turkeys, which can be ordered year round. Use the opportunity to expand your culinary experiences. Some of their dishes which can't be missed are the blackened alligator tail appetizer, red beans and rice, and their fried okra. While an unusual choice for a Thanksgiving Day meal, if you have guests that love cajun food, this is some of the best you can find in Oklahoma City. Besides, who says you can't have crawfish ettouffee for Thanksgiving if you want? Pearl's South location at 2125 S.W. 74th St., is the only one that offers cajun turkeys. Call 405-682-1500 for more info.

Instead of working yourself into a frenzy, you can order one of these meals to save yourself lots of time. The most you have to do with any of these meals is put it in the oven, and because the food prep work takes so long, this saves an enormous amount of time. This holiday season, do yourself a favor and take a break from playing chef. Let a real chef do all the hard work for you.
