I have found this site to be helpful. I'm amazed that I actually tripped over it. It's refreshing to know that people are willing to help those of us who are empaths and psychics. I would like to start the business that God has given me notes on but I've been too chicken to admit to myself that I can do it. I would like to find a mentor that could trade out. As a medium, there's always much in the spirit world that's attracted to me, always has been this way. Like most, i thought i could ignore it but at age 44 it's becoming stronger and the spirit world is beginning to call me with vigilance. I've tried so hard to fit in and be my version of "normal" but it's not working anymore. I believe the student is ready..... Shelly
I think i've been a physical intuitive my whole life....but just this year at age 46 have found out what that is. why do i have this gift and how am i suppose to use it?? what good is knowing that someone is sick but not know how to help them? I've also, always been able to know where someone has died and other details like age, sex, cloths... why is this usful?
lastly, I'm a christian, which brings up all sorts of spiritual conflicts. Help please.

I came across these posts, and feel the same as all. I need direction as well, and dont know where to turn. I absorb everything like a sponge as well, and am also empathic, and a psychic. I wish I had a mentor! It can be very emotional and it is draining, and no one in my life understands....except for my brother who is the same, but doesnt really do anything about it and ignores it. I recently had a situation, where I had a premonition of my botfriends daughter getting hurt. I was all upset, and crying, and he just didnt understand my 'moods'. She was hurt the next day just like I saw. This made me realize, I NEED someone to help me get a handle on this! I didnt trust my judgement, and didnt tell him what I saw. I was afraid he would a) blame me for it happening, or b) stay home, and resent me for not being able to go with her that day. Uhhhg.

I have the ability to soak up my environment like a sponge which I find very draining and debilitating. My experience had been limited since I have lacked support needed to fine-tune and understand my abilities along with the refusal of my family to admit to the metaphysical, a trait that is evident on my mother's side; therefore, I was not able to understand many of the impressions that I received throughout my life, especially when I was young. Fortunately however, I believe, that the older I get the easier this has become.
