Their prices are generally reasonable, and their menu has a lot of variety. Many of their specialty pizzas lean towards the 'gourmet' side, though it would be hard to tell from the outside. Michello's is not known for their crust, but the atmosphere is great and the food is good. On Wednesday's, all pizzas are 25% off, no matter how you order.
Also located in Marion is Naso's. The waiters and waitresses there are generally rushing around on Tuesday nights because it's ½ price pizza (as long as it's a medium or larger). Their pizza is to die for. It might be located in Marion, Iowa, but they have some of the best ingredients I've ever had. As a vegetarian, I can personally recommend their "Mediterranean Veggie", the "Venetian Muse", and their plain old cheese pizza. But their pepperoni-sausage is a popular favorite. If you go in, ask for Kathy as your server and you'll see why Naso's is worth the trip.
On the Southeast side of town, across from Coe College lies the Sip and Stir. This establishment can be hard to find unless you know what you're looking for. It's wedged in next to Zio Johno's on 1st Avenue. On Sundays and Mondays they offer a 13' pizza with two toppings for just $7. Unfortunately, you'll have to go in to score this deal as they do not offer delivery. Fortunately, the atmosphere is worth the trip. It's a hole in the wall kind of place, and very local. The customers are generally regulars and the bartender knows practically everyone's name. There are framed pictures of stars such as Frank Sinatra, and the blue rope lights give it that small town feel. Plus, the pizza is inexpensive! You can hardly beat that.
