When I want to find a nice little figurine to add to my mother's fairy collection, I go to Crazy Earl's. They also have a lot of other collectible items, body jewelry and novelty items. In one section of the store there is an adult room for the customers who are over eighteen who want a naughty gag gift or want to spice up their love lives. Crazy Earls also has a multitude of supplies and books for people who are interested in the occult, magick, herbology and Wicca. Every time I have visited the store, the people who are working there are friendly and helpful. It is a pleasant atmosphere, and although some items are beyond my reach, there are plenty of reasonably priced items to make unique and interesting gifts to go under the tree or in a stocking. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. The address is 5800 Midland Boulevard, Fort Smith, Arkansas.
One store that I love is The Electric Moo. For one thing, the name is terrific. They have a good selection of body jewelry, too. Since I have my belly button pierced, and I wear two tongue rings (yes, I did it twice, like a fool), I love to find a great selection of tongue rings. I also have many friends and family members who have some thing or another pierced, so I can find a nice piece of jewelry for them. They also have a great collection of posters and incense. I love the atmosphere, and I am very comfortable. The service is friendly and polite (that is always a bonus), and the prices are not sky-high. The store is open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. through 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. It is located at 4612 Grand Avenue, Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Finally, there is Romancing the Stone in our local mall. While I understand it is actually a chain, this store is not a run of the mill store in our small-town area. There are many things that can be found here. There is interesting art, jewelry and novelty items. The atmosphere is warm and fun, and it is the only consolation that I can get from being forced to visit the mall. The prices are reasonable, and I can always find a fun gift for somebody at any time of the year. There is a collection of New Age music for people who like that. The store hours are the same as the mall's hours: Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday, from 12:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. The address is 5111 Rogers Avenue, Fort Smith, Arkansas. This is the address of Central Mall where the store is located.
While Arkansas is not the most "happening" place in the country, we do have our occasional unique store. Well, if it is not unique to the world, it can easily be unique to us.When I have to shop, I do at least enjoy shopping at these places. Friendly people and fascinating items have a way of perking me right up. I hope I will be able to do some shopping at these stores for Christmas this year. I think I could definitely use a new set of tongue rings, too, so it would be doubly beneficial. I would love to think this article is helpful to anyone who has the task of finding a new and unique gift for a friend. Merry Christmas.
