The following people should get a flu shots pregnant women, children under 5 years of age, people with weak immune systems, those people who live in nursing homes, and people who are 5o years old older.
The best time to get flu shot if flu season of course, which is October and November, but the flu season can last as long as May. It is beneficial to also get a flu shot until January
If you have Medicare Part B and are not a member of an HMO, your flu and pneumonia shots will be free if you present your Medicare card at time of shot. Otherwise it is any where for $25 to $30 dollars at every location.
