There are several national chain restaurants that offer diners who register on their websites various e-mail offers throughout the year, including free entrees, desserts, or other merchandise. One such restaurants and my favorite place for burgers is Red Robin. By registering at www.redrobin.com and providing your contact information, as well as your birthday Red Robin will send you an e-mail good for a free burger good during a two week period surrounding your birthday.

Another national restaurant chain offering a freebie is Max & Erma's. By being a member of Max and Erma's Good Neighbor Club and registering on their website at www.maxandermas.com you will be sent an email during the month of your birthday informing you that by showing your Good Neighbor card during your birthday month you will receive a free order of cookies.

By being a member of TGI Fridays Give Me More Stripes program, and registering on their website www.fridays.com you will be sent an e-mail with a coupon that you must print and present at the restaurant. By presenting the coupon and purchasing an entree you will receive a free dessert in honor of your birthday.

If you register on Romano's Macaroni Grill's website, www.macaronigrill.com, you will be sent an e-mail coupon two weeks before your birthday good for a free dessert. You do not need to make an additional purchase in order to receive the free dessert.

Another restaurant offering a free item for registering on their website is bd's Mongolian Grill, www.gomongo.com. BD's is based in the Midwest as well as in Florida. A week before your birthday you will receive an e-mail good for a free stir fry.

Two local restaurants in the state of Michigan that offer free birthday entrees as well as a piece of merchandise are the Detroit Beer Company, www.detroitbeerco.com and Royal Oak Brewery, www.royaloakbrewery.com . Besides the free entree you receive by presenting the e-mail you will be sent at the beginning of your birthday month you will be given a piece of Beer Co./Brewery merchandise such as a glass, or bottle opener as a gift.
