Where to Go for College Fall Break: Florida Beaches

Florida is a hot spot for college travel throughout the year. Fall vacation doesn't always warrant enough time to travel outside of the country, but there are plenty of hot beaches in Florida that will give you the thrill of a lifetime once you are acquainted with the area and the many things to do.

Daytona Beach, Florida

On the East Coast, there are beautiful beaches where the night life lasts well into the following day and the party almost never stops! Daytona Beach, an ideal destination for fall break, includes low cost hotels and numerous night clubs along the strip. For a reasonable hotel rate that includes a non stop party right downstairs, college students can stay at the Plaza Resort and Spa. Located at 600 N. Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach, Florida, the Plaza Resort and Spa is the perfect place for college students who want to have a great time. A club (respectively called 600 North) is located on the lower level of the hotel and the hotel also boasts a liquor store and vast pool deck where nearly any type of drink is served!

Further down the road, college students can enjoy live entertainment at the Ocean Deck as well as some really awesome seafood and wings! The Ocean Deck is located at 127 S. Tampa Bay, Florida

Another great vacation hot spot for the fall is a trip to Tampa Bay. There are hundreds of low cost hotels and night clubs in the area and college students can get discounts at many of the area attractions. In addition to being local to a beautiful beach, a stay at Tampa Bay also offers the ability to enjoy theme parks such as Busch Gardens and the water park Adventure Island.

Clearwater Beach on Tampa Bay offers bay view rooms at various hotels for under $80 per night after taxes and hotel fees. Both the Best Western and the Adam's Mark offer room rates that are under $100 and both hotels are located directly on the Gulf of Mexico! There's plenty to do when your on the water including parasailing, jet skiing, and of course boating! Boat rentals and jet ski rentals are available for those 22 and up at Waverunner Rentals located in Tampa Bay at 700 S. Florida Ave. Although there are many other boat rental locations in the Tampa Bay area, Waverunner rentals has some of the best prices around!

Tampa Bay nightlife for the college traveler includes an easy walk down East 7th Avenue to numerous different night clubs. The Amphitheater includes a rotating dance floor and extreme dance sounds throughout the club, Club Hedo features some of the best dance music on the strip and Empire includes a second floor balcony where you can view other area travelers for more than a block! There's tons to do on the strip making it the perfect place for fall college nightlife in Tampa Bay, Florida!
