Where to Go Vegan in Houston, Texas

Finding a good vegan restaurant can be like finding a needle in haystack. If you look hard enough, there are some really terrific, completely vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants around. When most people think of Houston, they think big steak. Just wipe that thought from your mind because you can go vegan even in Texas. Here are three excellent choices.

This vegan Chinese is the best around. The favorite Kung Pao chicken or should we say Kung Pao mock chicken tastes just like chicken. The Szechuan tofu is also at the top of the list along with many of the other vegetable dishes served. The taste for every dish was very authentic and delicious. Menu prices are very good at medium. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The dress code is casual.

Pat Greer's is the place for organic, raw, living foods. This is a takeaway restaurant, but Vegans delight in the gluten free and refined sugar-free menu. Highly recommended meals include the Pizza Bella, Veggie Lasagna, Garden Burgers, Asian Fusion and Salmon Salad. With all this healthy eating, don't neglect the sweet tooth. Splurge a little with some Rawsome Pecan pie or to-die-for Peanut Butter pie. Prices are medium. Dress code is casual.

There's nothing like a combination when it comes to Asian food. This Vegan restaurant is a combo of Vietnamese, Chinese and International fare. The atmosphere is very nice and friendly with great décor. The wide variety of food choices makes this place a virtual Vegan Heaven. Some of the greats are Mu Shu Rolls, Heavenly Salad, Pad Thai, Mushrooms and Vegan Cheese with French Bread and Gourmet Fried Rice. For the coffee drinkers, the selection of fresh roasted organic coffee is highlight. A meal here makes a happy customer. Dress code is casual.
