I'm looking for your eyes but, I can't see them.
I am here God, here in the dark.
Can you see me? Can you hear me calling your name?
Jesus! Jesus! I'm afraid here in the dark.
I feel all alone.
The job you have asked me to do, is lonely and scarey.
All I see is an extended hand.
I hope that I will be alright,
if I can hold on to your hand.

Post a CommentApril there are times, when we feel like God has left us but, he is carrying us and we cannot feel it. When I wrote this God seem along way away. It gives me peace to know that he is watching over me and taking care of me.
I have written alot. I have a book out the has 60 plus poems in it. I also have some that I am praying about publishing online. This is one that I put on Associated Content though and did not get any up front pay for. They never said anything about it being under 400 words.
BTW, I have faved you so I could read your articles regularly, so keep writing! (How did you ever get this published on AC? It's under 400 words!)
Sounds similar to my prayer which started after a painful divorce from my 30-yr husband. I moved to a new town and nothing was familiar. I was scared silly, so I prayed the same basic prayer, but asked if God would let me sit on His lap. Amazing how this calmed me down enough that I could go to sleep at night!
LIsa Renee,
You are welcome. I have alot of these inspiration writings in my book "A Call to the Christians". It is available through PublishAmerica.com.
Thanks for the little shot of inspiration.
