Where a Kid Can Be a Kid: Chuck E Cheese!

The advertisement says it all...'where a kid can be a kid'. Not sure what defines a 'kid', but I have to admit I like the place too. Maybe it simply brings out the kid in all of us.

The place is literally wall-to-wall entertainment in a kid-friendly atmosphere. When you walk in the door you go through 'kid-check'. This ensures that the kids you walk in the door with will be the ones that you leave with says the stamp on your arm (that can only be seen under the black light).

The first thing that hits you is the smell of pizza then you notice all of the children running around the place. Children having fun no doubt! They can watch the stage show, play video games, play various games to win tickets, and the toddlers even have their own play zone. I myself have a weakness for Skee-ball...who can resist that?

The menu includes pizza, wings, sandwiches, and a great salad bar (being vegan myself). The drink menu is generous as well with just about any fountain drink you can think of and beer by the pitcher.

Seems like they have birthday parties going on daily, and that comes complete with an official visit from Chuck E Cheese himself.

The local paper and the website at r offers coupons to cut some of the cost of your visit. The token coupons are worth it...you can never have enough of those.

Once the kids (and yourself) have spent all of the tokens, you can ease over to the ticket 'muncher' to add up all of your tickets. This has to be the best part because based on the number of tickets, the kids then get to pick out prizes!

Over all it's a great place to visit...not a daily stop, but great for a birthday or special treat.
