Where is Maricar Reyes?
After the Sex Scandal Videos
This is the question plaguing me after the emotional stint of Katrina Halili at the Senate.
Maricar Reyes is one of the three women whose sex videos with Dr. Hayden Kho are being released everywhere. This incident has led to the inquiry at the Philippine Senate, which was attended by the two main characters--Hayden and Katrina.
The sad part is that Maricar Reyes is a doctor, a general practitioner in fact. Despite being an actress and commercial model, she strives so much to separate her private life with her celebrity status. It is as if she is trying to maintain a day job behind her glamorous "other job."
This set up was fine until her steamy videos with Hayden were released over the internet. Who would have think that the really refined and soft spoken Maricar has her own collection? Of course, I believe that the videos were taken without her consent, nevertheless, the whole world has already taken part of her private moments with Hayden--and well, seen her private parts.
I feel bad for Maricar. I wonder how she is taking all these...and her family, too. The people who get hurt the most by these happenings are the families. As mother, I could not imagine how her parents are feeling. They have raised her and sent her to a good school and enabled her to finished med school. Now, she is being feasted upon everywhere like a porn actress. If she has siblings, they would really be the center of jokes among their circles.
And what would happen to her medical career? If the Senate and a lot of other people are pushing for the revocation of Dr. Hayden Kho's medical license, what about Maricar? I do hope that they don't meddle with her medical profession, as obviously, she is also a victim here. Like what Katrina said, I think Maricar's only fault was loving Hayden too much to give all of herself.
But even if her license is not revoked, I wonder if her patients will still respect her as a doctor?
Of course, Maricar Reyes' expertise in her field, whatever it is as she is not so open to discuss about it, is not in any way affected by her sexual encounters. However, there are people who feel bad when the person that they trust with their lives--their dcotors--is involved with anything malicious. They lose respect and therefore are prone to lose trust as well.
I do hope that Maricar Reyes will continue to live with her head up high. After all, it was not her fault that those videos were taken or even released. She should not suffer for Hayden's indiscretion.

The court system needs to act swiftly revoke his license and go to jail for years. before this i adored maricar and after i still do she has set a high standard for filipinos imagine athlete, actress, can sing a doctor like my father. good luck and may GOD always bless you!

Her medical license isn't even in question. She did nothing unethical. Hayden on the other hand, did. While many people may not agree with sex outside marriage, it's extremely common. Recording people without their consent is NOT common though.
I already watching the 2 video of Maricar Reyes and Hayden Kho. Its very sad to Maricar because she love too much this Hayden Kho so that's why for her no problem that he take the video during here private action. Maricar be strong and make your life go on, you must think so many celeb in the whole world also did that nice action. For the relative of Maricar I Know its very pain to you even its happen to me but I must think we are a human some time we commit mistake. some say "learn from mistake" more power to you Maricar I always watching you in the TV.

in all honesty, maybe, yea, she didn't know she was being recorded the first 2 times. but the third time? the sala scene?? she MOST DEFINITELY knew she was being recorded. i mean, she even helped him set up the video by playing around with the webcam of the computer. i bet hayden used a MacBook ('cuz maricar made the $2000 comment which is usually how much Macs cost), thus she would've seen herself on the computer screen because Mac webcams do not record you unless it is the primary application (meaning, the webcam is above all other applications that are open), so you can most definitely see. This is also why hayden kept fixing the screen to make sure the camera had a good shot at them.
Victim? Hard to say. Respectable Dr? Not anymore. Slut? Most definitely.
I can't believe that of all the problems there are in the philippines, the senate ACTUALLY had a hearing about this scandal!
Seriously all of the senators that took part in this waste of time should be impeached for not only wasting the countries limited finances, but more importantly wasting precious time which they could have used to maybe improve the economy or infrastructure maybe? Nothing will happen to the philippines!
Personally I think hes stupid for making the video without them knowing and even dummer for getting caught and having it shown all over the internet. He may be book smart, but he needs to learn about life and be street smart- if he had the right game he could have talked them into being in the video.

hey're obviously using a laptop with a built-in cam which she does not know was on (an apple or sony vaio maybe) and recording a video of their trysts.
I admit to watching out of curiosity but c'mon lets not ridicule her as she's the victim here. Grow up and start realizing how hurtful these videos are to the girls, their families....
