Where to Order Vegan Wedding Cakes in New York City

Delectable Vegan Bakeries in New York City

Cindi Starr
For those that aren't familiar with vegan made foods, they are made without any animal products or by-products (i.e. eggs, dairy, butter and honey to name a few). New York City has some of the finest Vegan restaurants, delis, and bakeries.

WILDFLOWERS cakes are gorgeous and creative works of art. Many of the designs are created using sugar flowers (gum paste flowers). These flowers are edible sugar sculptures that are created individually, petal by petal, out of special sugar dough prepared in the Wildflowers private studio. These sugary confections appear as real looking as flowers or porcelain; with each leaf, flower, bud, fruit, berry or ribbon hand painted with colors that blended to create real depth.

Wheat free cakes, gluten free cakes, organic cakes, vegan cakes & eggless cakes are available for my clients with special dietary requirements. Gluten free wedding cakes are priced from $14.00 a serving, vegan wedding cakes from $14.00 a serving; eggless wedding cakes from $14.00 a serving, dairy free wedding cakes from $14.00 a serving.

Ordering is easy. Just contact WILDFLOWERS by telephone at (856)459-3515, or by email at http://www.wildflowersbylori.com/Wedding%20cakes.htm.

Wildflowers cakes are in demand so it makes good sense to secure your date early. They often receive bookings years in advance so it's never too early to book your date with them. WILDFLOWERS also delivers and personally oversees the set up of cakes for clients in New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Maryland.

JUST DESERTS is at the one of the leading bakeries in the New York area. Although at the present time they only offer one vegan cake. I hope they will be expanding their option in the near future. The one they do offer is a delectable treat however. Their Vegan Chocolate Cake is three layers of vegan devil's food cake filled with Belgian bittersweet chocolate mousse, studded with real raspberries and finished in white frosting. It can also be finished in chocolate ganache for an additional $5.75 there is a $35 charge for set-up and delivery in Ithaca and surrounding areas. The total price is priced per guest. For more information Just Deserts is located at 105 S. Fulton Street, Ithica, NY 14850. They can be reached by phone at (607) 272-3718.

And last but certainly not least on my favorites list is, LifeThyme Natural Market. This is not just a bakery, but a full vegan experience that anyone from the area should take advantage of.

  • Vegan Bakery options are widespread throughout the New York City area.
  • It is best to order and plan well in advance when using a high end bakery.
  • There are also vegan catering services in the area.
Your guests won't be able to tell that your wedding cake is vegan made...unless you tell them. I advise not telling them and letting them experience vegan deserts at their finest...at least until after they've raved about how yummy it was.
