Can any right-wing preacher or groups spout such venom and go unrebuked? Where is that righteous anger so vehemently expressed over abortion? The Lord does not recognize sin by the number of deaths occurring. Obviously a standard set by men to determine which is more abominable.
Praying for some ones death opens you up to the wrath of God as sure as He is God. Those committing the sins of omission and commission will earn that same wrath. Judging the person as this preacher does bring sure judgment against them and those like him.
No can judge the person but God. These people sound like the Catholic Church during the Crusades calling for the death of the unbelievers, slaughtering men, women, and children in the name of God and certainly are no better.
Their invidious and licentious behavior and speech in the name of God demeans the name Christian. You give cause for those unsure of God to point and use you as an example not to become Christian. Those in government and right-wing media by their own treacherous lying to the country and through inciting language encourage these hypocrites to openly disparage what makes us Christian.
These are the same people who pounded their chest in outrage at Democrats and pranced about as Pharisees boasting family values and in their confused notions of right. They lack fear in the Lord and that is a dangerous thing to have. There is more praise in their gun than their maker.
These and those who condone them with their silence or their weak, limp condemnations are people who set their own rules, contradict Scriptures, who praise the god of politics and bigotry in the name of God. They seem to be windsock Christians; whichever direction the wind blows, so goes their Christianity.
The world watches and wonders what happen to the character of the United States hat claims to be a Christian nation? It is disgusting and sad to watch.
Below are some convicting and interesting quotes to ponder.
Titus1:10 -16For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,
11who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not teach for the sake of sordid gain.
12One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, "Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons."
13This testimony is true. For this reason reprove them severely so that they may be sound in the faith,
14not paying attention to Jewish myths and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.
15 To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
16 hey profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.
2 Corinthians 6: 14Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?
"A noble man compares and estimates himself by an idea which is higher than himself; and a mean man, by one lower than himself. The one produces aspiration; the other ambition, which is the way in which a vulgar man aspires-Marcus Aurelius"
" I know of no country in which there is so little independence of mind and real freedom of discussion as in America-Alexis de Tocqueville"
"There are many men of principle in both parties in America, but there is no party of principle- Alexis de Tocqueville"
