Where to Pick Up Federal, State Income Tax Forms in Utica, Michigan

January will soon be here, and before you know it, it will be time to sit down and do your taxes for 2008. It can be a big headache, and all the forms, and changes from the previous year. If you filed online the previous year, you probably will not be mailed a 2009 tax book or forms. Below is a list of places where in the general area of Utica, Michigan, that you can pick up the tax forms, and instruction booklets for 2009.

Utica Public Library:

Located at 7530 Auburn Rd, Utica, Michigan, 48317 586-173-4141. Hours of operation are: Monday and Wednesday 10 am to 8 pm, Thursday 10 am to 6 pm, Friday 11 am to 4 pm, and Saturday 11 am to 2 pm. Being it is only December they do not have forms available yet, but in January they will have all the forms and instructions booklets available to the public.

Shelby Public Library:

51680 Van Dyke, Shelby Township, Michigan, 48316 586-739-7414.Hours of operation are: Monday to Thursday 9 am to 8 pm, Friday 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturday 9 am to 5 pm.All tax forms and instruction booklets will be available in January.

Sterling Heights Public Library:

40255 Dodge Park, Sterling Heights, Michigan, 48314 586-446-2640. Hours of operation are: Monday to Thursday 9:30 am to 9 pm, Friday and Saturday 9:30 am to 5 pm. All tax forms and instruction booklets will be available in January.

www.irs.gov:

At this government website you can find all the forms and instructions you will need to file your federal taxes, available for print.

www.michigan.gov:

At Michigan's website, in the search bar at top, type in tax forms, and this will link you to all the forms you need to file for state taxes.

The Macomb County Reference Center on 16480 Hall Rd, in Clinton Township, Michigan, use to carry the forms, but in January 2009, they will be taken over by Wayne State, and the head librarian is not sure if the forms and publications will be available for the public. If you wish to call first the number is (586) 286-6660. Also note, that libraries have computers for public use, you can also download and print the forms and instructions there as well. If you are not computer literate, the library has help that can assist you in printing the forms you need.
