Where to Play Miniature Golf in the Boston Area

JT
Boston is a beautiful and scenic town with plenty of sightseeing opportunities for history buffs. Miniature golf, however, is a little harder to locate than those historic sites. Here's a list of some mini golf opportunities for those of you who enjoy putting a ball around.

Route 1 Miniature Golf Course (1575 Broadway, Saugus): Nick, the orange dinosaur, looks over this 18-hole course. Each hole has a traditional mini golf challenge such as windmills, covered bridges, or blind turns. Apparently if you get a hole in one at the 18th hole, you win a free round of miniature golf for you and your team. Route 1 also offers batting cages, an arcade, and small ice cream shop, all fun options for a summer day!

Monster Mini Golf (1560 Boston Providence Tpke, Norwood): Looking for a spooky game of miniature golf? Check out Monster Mini Golf, with its 18-hole course with black lights and fluorescent golf clubs, and other props. The course is mild enough for small kids; the monsters don't jump out and surprise you. For those who don't enjoy mini golf, Monster Mini Golf also offers arcade games as well as glow-in-the-dark skee ball and air hockey.

Kimball Farm (400 Littleton Road, Westford): This course boasts for two 18-hole courses, delicious homemade ice cream, bumper boats, and a driving range. Forget an afternoon trip, this place can fill up an entire weekend!

Trombetta's Farm and Mini Golf (655 Farm Road, Marlborough, MA): Built inside a greenhouse, Trombetta's 18 hole mini golf course complete with windmill, gristmill, and a volcano is a great option for a rainy day as well as parties and events. You can also buy homemade ice cream and frozen yogurt at this locale, as well as hold "make your own" sundae and ice cream specials.

Hago Harrington's Miniature (160 Main St, Stoneham): Named after a '30s hockey player, Hago Harrington's offers 18-holes of the traditional mini golf experience, complete with as windmills and wells. If you get a hole in one at the last hole, you win a free game of golf! This course is not challenging (it's mostly flat), so it's ideal for beginners and small kids.

Golf on the Village Green (315 Worcester Road, Natick): This mildly rundown course doesn't feature any elaborate or original layouts. You instead play mini golf in a natural setting and you get a miniature lesson in American history. Each hole (and a corresponding plaque) features a historical event and a miniature historical location (Paul Revere's house).
