Well, I had no reason to worry! The RV Ranch of Keene, TX is where he decided to park our newly purchased pride and joy. No, it's not one of the cheaper parks in the area. If you want cheap, though, you must consider what cheap involves. It invites less safety for you and your RV, less accommodations, less quality service, less quality management, and so on.
The classy western atmosphere of the RV Ranch in Keene, TX is gorgeous. There is pretty, well-maintained landscaping. The trees provide much-needed shade. The graveled parking and lanes combined with the blacktop roads provide sturdy, cleaner driving surfaces in bad weather. The two laundry/shower buildings are built with western decor and are charming and kept clean with affordable prices and working well-built carts to help when sorting. Their bathroom/showers within the building are large and clean. The office is beautiful and right next to their video rental store, which is great when you want to watch movies and don't want to have to drive back to town to find them! (There's quite a selection of videos.) There's a pond near the larger laundry/shower building that includes a nice path around it for strolling in the cool evenings and watching the many turtle inhabitants, birds, and frogs. The swimming pool is clean, very nicely built, good size, kiddy pool included, and has a soothing atmosphere with a shaded patio for those who want to accompany older children and not swim. Comfy lawn chairs are provided for the avid sunbathers.
The park also gives a choice of parking your RV in their kid-friendly areas or using their adult-preferred areas. There are plenty of shaded lots or those without trees. They are all, however, set up professionally with the campers' comfort and usage in mind. The lots are level and sturdy
The RV Ranch of Keene, TX provides phone service, broadband internet service, cable tv, coke machines, night lights, and a professional, friendly staff. It is located within a few minutes of Cleburne, TX, which has just about anything you would need in services. Plenty of shopping is available, plenty of thrift stores and discount stores, and almost any kind of restaurant/fast food or conveniences are there. There is, of course, the almighty Wal Mart superstore and gas station. The town itself is charming, including nice architecture in the buildings to provide pleasant scenery.
This RV Ranch has private entry, meaning you must be one of their campers/residents with an access card to use their facilities. This keeps out any unwanted foot traffic, which means better safety and a better maintained area and provisions. Plus, the noise level is really surprising for a large park. I wasn't bothered by it at all, during the days or nights we were there. The other campers seem to respect each other.
Last, but not least, there is a car wash near the park entry for getting those nasty travel bugs off your vehicle either once you arrive or just before you make that long trip back home. This helps protect your car's finish and makes it easier to clean again once you arrive back home. After all, the more bugs that collect, the harder it is to clean them off.
So, whenever you decide to travel to this area of Texas, which is located a few miles outside the Dallas/Fort Worth area, please do yourself a favor and check into this wonderful RV Ranch in Keene, TX. Their monthly rates vary some. The daily rates begin at $18. The weekly rates begin at $92. Happy Camping!
