Where Have the Reindeer Gone: A Christmas Poem

Pattiyal
Tring tring, tring tring, ding,

tring tring, Trumpety ring

Here I am waiting

by the Christmas tree

Glory to thee

Santa Claus is coming ...

Yonder the night twinkles

with little trinkets in the brightly lit sky

Wonder how far is he

Santa Claus is coming to see me

Chilling night breeze

whizzes away my freezing nose

I can have some biscuits and cheese

before I am like a statue froze

wake up little chipmunks

wadling your tails

soaked up in the milk chunks

spilled on the toy train rails

Tring tring, tring tring, ding,

tring tring, Trumpety ring

Here I am waiting

by the Christmas tree

Glory to thee

Santa Claus is coming

Am I on the naughty list

where have the reindeer gone

My eyes are clouded in mist

what have I done wrong

Mom and dad were nice to me

and got me lots of gifts

Santa Claus I would like to see

so I can show my best

where have the reindeer gone

where are the elves

what have I done wrong

to miss Christmas presents

Tring tring, tring tring, ding,

tring tring, Trumpety ring

Here I am waiting

by the Christmas tree

Glory to thee

Santa Claus is coming
