I have been using Half.com for years now and it is a great website for buying items at least half of their original price. It is also a great place to sell some of your movies, cd's, games or game systems. Half.com has a wide selection of video games, from brand new to used that are very affordable.
Cd/ Game Exchange
The Cd Game Exchange is a wonderful place to buy, sell and trade music, movies and especially video games. They usually have many game systems covered so you have many options to choose from. If you have any old video games sitting around the house, then you should definitely go trade them in so you can buy a newer one as a gift.
Blockbuster
I know what you are thinking. Blockbuster? Isn't that place expensive? Actually, not all of the time. There are many occasions where Blockbuster has many sales on movies and games. A lot of people just go straight to the new release section to rent movies, but overlook many of the sale tables on the way there. I have seen many video games on sale as well as full price in Blockbuster all of the time. You just have to look closely.
Ebay.com
Although sometimes a little tricky, Ebay can be a great place to find super cheap video games, cd's and movies. You have the option to buy now, at a fixed price or you can bid on an item. Bidding can give you the opportunity to get a video game at a super cheap price if you stay patient and observant until the very end of the bidding.
Craigslist
Another option fo finding video games at less than new prices is by going to Craigslist.com. There are many people on Craigslist that are looking to buy and sell their belongings. It is different than Ebay because it bases your searches more locally and you have to contact to individual person to set up transaction agreements. This is a great option because you can bargain for the item you want for the price you want.

I have recently discovered this site and have found out that they have many deals on a lot of items including video games, new and old. You can also buy game systems off of the website as well. Although some of the deals are not as great as some deals on half.com or even at the Cd/ Game Exchange, you can still use this alternative to find other options. It is great to have as many options as possible, especially if you under a tight budget.
