Where to Sell Your Gold Jewelry in Tucson, Arizona

M. Sottosanti
When you sell your gold jewelry you want top dollar for it and to know the salesperson you are dealing with is being very honest and is an expert appraiser.

Below are businesses in Tucson, Arizona where you can be confident you will be getting both - top dollar and honesty. Of course as you attempt to sell your gold, you have the option of comparing offers first and most businesses will do that for you for free.

1. My first choice of where to sell your gold jewelry is a reputable jeweler. I recommend:

S. Silverberg & Sons located at: 5420 E. Broadway Blvd. Suite 202, in the Williams Centre at N. Craycroft Road. They are very honest and as they look over and then weigh your gold they offer you more for it than they keep for a profit. They also buy name brand watches. All you have to do is bring your jewelry to the counter in the rear of the store and they do the rest. They do it at the time you bring in your jewelry without making you come back days later. No appointment is necessary. Call them to ask the hours they are open. Their telephone number is: 520-750-1250.

Other reputable jewelers are:

Stewart Kuper Jewelers is located at: 5762 E. Broadway Blvd., east of N. Craycroft Road. They buy gold and diamond jewelry. They are open: Monday: 10:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M.;
Tuesday-Friday: 10:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M.; and Saturday: 10:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M.
Their telephone number is: 520-750-0050.

Kevin Jewelers has 2 locations:
A). 4500 N. Oracle Road, Suite FFC13, level one in the Tucson Mall, at W. Wetmore Road. Their telephone number is: 520-293-0007; and
B). 5870 E. Broadway Blvd., Section C in Park Place Mall between N. Craycroft Road and S. Wilmot Road. Their telephone number is: 520-514-6269.
They buy gold, platinum, diamonds and watches. Right now they are having a special in which they will give you a pair of free diamonds earrings if they buy your gold, platinum, diamonds and/or watches - a minimum of 10 grams of gold is required. Both stores are open: Monday-Saturday: 10:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M.; and Sunday: 12:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. Their website is: www:kevinjewelers.com

Ambassador Diamond Jewelers is located at: 4668 E. Speedway Blvd., at N. Swan Road. They buy antique and estate jewelry. Call them to ask the hours they are open. Their telephone number is: 520-327-8800.

Noral Diamond Jewelers is located at: 5425 N Kolb Road, Suite 109, southwest of Kolb Road and E. Sunrise Drive in Ventana Plaza. They buy gold. Call them to ask the hours they are open. Their toll-free telephone number is: 1-877-899-3386.

Jay Jewelers is located at: 6466 N. Oracle Road, at W. Orange Grove Road. Call them to ask the hours they are open. Their telephone number is: 520-297-3521.

Viir Jewelers is located at: 2464 N. Campbell Avenue, just north of Grant Road. They buy gold and silver jewelry in any condition. They are open: Tuesday-Friday: 10:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M.; and Saturday: 10:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M. They are closed Sunday & Monday. Their telephone number is: 520-795-5496.

McGuire's Jewelers is located at: 230 E. Wetmore Road, at N. Stone Avenue. They appraise and buy estate items, gold, diamonds, watches and fine jewelry. They are open: Tuesday-Saturday: 10:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M. They are closed Sunday & Monday. Their telephone number is: 520-622-7532.

2. After going to the above jewelers and you still have jewelry left over try these 2 businesses:

Gold & Silver Exchange is located: 4250 E Speedway Blvd., west of N. Swan Road. They buy gold, silver, old coins and even silver utensils. Call them to ask the hours they are open. Their telephone number is: 520-323-2268.

Antique Jewelry Exchange is located at: 4854 E Speedway Blvd. To sell them any of your unwanted jewelry contact them at: sales@antiquejewelryexch.com Call them to ask the hours they are open. Their telephone number is: 520-881-6525.

3. When all else fails, try these pawn shops:

Superpawn has 4 locations in Tucson, Arizona. They are at:
A). 4055 E. Speedway Blvd. Their telephone number is: 520-323-3344;
B). 7070 E. 22nd Street. Their telephone number is: 520-747-7296;
C). 3939 N. 1st Avenue. Their telephone number is: 520-888-0001; and
D). 1635 W. Valencia Road. Their telephone number is: 520-741-0041.

Cash Box Jewelry & Pawn Co. is located at: 2014 S. Craycroft Road. Their telephone number is: 520-790-7404.

4. Occasionally a buyer will come to Tucson and set up in a local hotel. They advertise the locations and dates in the Arizona Daily Star newspaper and on television. If you choose to bring your jewelry to them, you can also just get an estimate and then compare it to the offer(s) you received from one of the above businesses.

5. Whatever you do, don't ever put your jewelry in an envelope and mail it to a company. I have heard people say they received 15 cents for jewelry that was worth $200.00.

Never let your valuables out of your hands and always keep a good eye on the hands you put them into, as you wait for an offer.

On the day(s) you are considering selling your gold, you can check the value per ounce, gram and kilogram and see how it has increased or decreased recently at: www.goldprice.org

    Hi Tom and Teri. Thanks for sharing your positive experiences to help others. Thank you for reading my article, too.

    I went to Stewart Kuper Jewelers to sell my gold jewelry. They were professional, friendly, and helpful. I am going back with an old wedding ring set. They will reset the stones. Beautiful jewelry. I would recommend them for all your jewelry needs.

    I visited both Stewart Kuper and Silverberg. Both were helpful and professional. However, Kuper gave me 20% more for my gold and platinum, plus guaranteed 100% of the difference if the spot price went up within 30 days! They are 2 blocks from each other. It was easy to get quotes from each.
    The gentleman I worked with at Stewart Kuper was Bobby. He was very helpful and friendly.

    Thanks for writing this article! With the recent increase in the price of gold, I went and sold some pure gold bracelets that I dont wear at all. Went to Stuart jewelers and got a very good price on my bracelts compared to other places.

    I highly recommend the first 2 jewelers above. Learned my lesson the hard way before by going to a pawn shop, can u say rip off!

    Thanks again Stuart. Just payed for my family vacation to Cancun!
