Where to Send a Letter to Santa and Get One Back

Letters from the North Pole

There are lots of places you can send a letter to Santa where he will actually get it and send a letter back. It's not a good idea to simply address an envelope to "Santa" because you might not get a response. Here are a few places you can send your child's letter. You can e-mail Santa or even receive a verification that your child is on the "Nice List."

The first option is to go through the US Postal Service. You can actually receive a letter postmarked from the North Pole. To do this, your child will write a letter to Santa. It doesn't really matter where it goes. What matters is getting the response. The great thing about this is you can put in the letter whatever you want to make sure it's personalized and not just a generic response. You can write the letter yourself. If you think your child may recognize your handwriting, you can simply have someone else write it.

Now, take that letter and put it in an envelope. Put "Santa, North Pole, Alaska" on the upper left hand corner of the envelope for the return address. Address the letter to where you want it to go. Put a stamp on the letter. Place the envelope in a larger envelope and send it to the following address:

North Pole Christmas Cancellation
Postmaster
5400 Mail Trail
Fairbanks AK 99709-9998

When the post office gets this letter, they will actually open it up. Your letter will be inside, already stamped and addressed and they'll send it off. It will be postmarked from the North Pole. Make sure you do this early. They get a lot of letters every year and they want to receive it by December 15th.

You can also go through North Polar. This is a Santa letter business that is run from the North Pole. You can either send in a mailed request or order online. The letters are printed on Christmas themed stationary and you can request different templates and letters to be sent if you have more than one child. You can also place an order to receive a "Nice List Certificate" from Santa.

EmailSanta.com also has a nifty little tool. You or your child can fill in the blank with their name and what they want for Christmas and instantly a letter back will appear on the screen. You don't have to supply your e-mail address if you don't want to. The replies are different depending on what you put in the fields. I put a bike in one of the fields and Santa replied to make sure I wear a helmet. It's really neat!

Package From Santa - Here you can order a letter from Santa and personalize it by taking the template and changing around whatever you want. You can also get a letter from Rudolph, Magic North Pole Snow, a piece of Santa's outfit, an autographed picture of Mr. & Mrs. Claus and a plethora of other items from the North Pole.

Letters From Santa - This site is worth poking around in as well. When you order a letter, you also have the option of receiving a free phone call from Santa as well. You personalize your own letter going from their template. You can also order a "Santa Proof Evidence Kit" as well as "Santa's Boot Print Kit."
