Disheartened I went to Target. Not much better there. About the only place I consistently liked was Kohl's. Not that I want to buy a lot of clothes right now, but I did want to see what was out there. After losing 55 lbs you want to see how good it looks on you. Boy was I disappointed.
So I am still trying to lose more weight. Although if I don't lose too much more it will be ok. I'd like to lose another dress size. Or two. But I am here to say there is hope for those who even have low thyroids. You can lose weight. You just can't let silly things like guys and clothes dishearten you. You have to do it for yourself. You have to want to be healthy and you have to want more energy and you have to want to look better. Really want it in order to stick with a weight loss plan.
I was miserable and a heart attack candidate. I've lost 22% of my body weight and counting and I feel great thanks to working hard at getting enough protein in my diet. The thing that really did it for me was the fear I might get diabetes. I'm 22% smaller and even though I was disappointed that I didn't really like any of the clothing they had for sale. I know I look better any way.
I've changed my diet. Although I still have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and grilled cheese. I'll have carrots with them instead of chips. I love beans and rice. I eat that a lot because it fills me up and I've lost a lot of weight that way, which is good because I can't have fish or too much tofu. I never drank a lot of soda, or artificial sweeteners. But if I go out I'll drink a glass of milk instead of coffee. I feel a lot better. It's the best I've ever felt. And I've been really thin before. But I wasn't getting enough protein and felt miserable. I also take vitamins regularly.
I know that if I can do it, anyone can do it. Considering I was an emotional wreck eating to comfort myself. I found meditation to be a lifesaver and I have been in church for eleven years but I try to read the bible more. It said in Thessalonians' that women are supposed to get married and have children. Now I haven't done either. But who's to say it won't happen now. I used to dread being active. But since I have been pushing myself athletically, I have a lot more energy. I might never want a big family. But who's to say I wouldn't be able to handle one?
