Where to Sing Along at Disneyland in California

Stella Gage
Disneyland gives everyone the urge to break out into song of their favorite Disney movie as soon as they step foot in the park. It's just that kind of place. A place that transports you into the realm of childhood memories and lets you once again experience the euphoria of being a child once more.

The minute you step through those gates and onto Main Street, you know that at the end of your evening the parade will be in full swing and you'll be singing along with the songs from several Disney classics, like the unforgettable "When You Wish Upon A Star" from Pinocchio. The parade is an excellent way of capping off your evening at the greatest place on earth.

Then as you keep heading straight towards the most beautiful castle in the world with the hope of running into Cinderella, you may notice a small wishing well off to the right and can't help but, begin to sing Snow White's "I'm Wishing" song. The only thing missing is the cheerful birds accompanying in the background but if you close your eyes I bet you can hear them. And if you just linger a minute or two, Snow White just might show up and join you. My daughter, when she was 3, was thrilled to meet Snow White at that wishing well. My little girl had met her icon and ever since, has dressed up as Snow White for Halloween. Memories of a lifetime.

Now, slowly stroll through the magnificent castle and past the gorgeous carousel to your right is Tommorowland. Upon entering Tommorowland, you might want to begin singing Toy Story's "You've Got a Friend in Me" because right past the Astro Orbitor, there is a café on your right hand side. And behind that cafe, it has been known that a certain astronaut might appear with his infamous charge of "To Infinity and Beyond". My son, at age 2, was ecstatic and overjoyed in meeting his hero, Buzz Lightyear. He could hardly contain his excitement. His little legs were jumping up and down and a grin from ear to ear with a combination of clapping and squealing. An experience I will never forget.

Disneyland is such a wonderful place for children and adults that it is really difficult to pick just one top sing a long place but those are my top three. Remember that singing along to all your favorites as you walk through the park only enhances your visit and brings joy to your heart. Adding a few dance steps wouldn't hurt either. So, next time you find yourself at the "happiest place on earth" singing should be a must on your list.
