Where to Get Slideshows for Your MySpace Profile

Donna Noble
If you have a MySpace profile, chances are you have one or even two slideshows on your page. If you don't have one yet but want to add one, there are many sites where you can upload your pictures and turn them into slideshows for your friends and family to enjoy when they visit your profile. So, which ones are the best? Which ones are the easiest to use and add to your page? Check out the following options to find out what slideshow will look best on your MySpace profile.

For those who don't want to take a lot of time uploading pictures and designing a slideshow check out MySpace's own slideshow generator. To use this slideshow generator all you need to do is go to your MySpace page and click on the edit photo's section. When your album opens there will be a list of options across the top of the screen. The third option is Create Slideshow. Select this option and the slideshow menu will appear. Follow the step by step instructions provided by MySpace and soon you will have a slideshow of your favorite photos. With MySpace Slideshows you only have two options to choose from in designing your slideshow, though you can change the colors of the background. Once you have completed the process copy the code and paste it anywhere in your profile. If you don't want a lot of options and want a basic slideshow this is the route for you.

If you are looking for something just a little bit more complicated and with a few more options check out www.rockyou.com for their slideshow generators. Click on the bright orange create now button and you will be off and running. Add photos directly from myspace, your hard drive, facebook, photobucket, or several other sites. Once you have selected your photos go to the bottom to of the page to add captions and arrange your photos in the order you want them to appear. Pick a style form the presets at the top of the page then using the tabs on the right side of the page customize your transitions, size, or even add music. After you have completed your new slideshow save and copy the code to insert into your profile. This site is a little less user friendly than some of the others but don't let that stop you from giving it a try.

If you already use www.photobucket.com to upload and share your pictures why not try designing a slideshow using their services? Log into your Photobucket and select the create slideshow tab. Select from over 30 different themes including ones with titles an others that just show your pictures. Popular photo bucket themes include shuffle and collage. Select your size, insert your captions (titles), and save. Of all the options this one is the most user friendly, especially if you already use photobucket for sharing.

Of all the slideshow generators available the one at www.slide.com is probably the most popular. The generator used on slide.com is almost exactly the same as the one used on rock you.com however slide gives your more options to choose from. One of the most popular designs on slide.com is revolver. It is popular because visitors to your MySpace page can get a quick glimpse of your photos before they see a more detailed full version of the picture. If you like rockyou.com then you will also want to check this page out.

When it comes to making slideshows my personal favorite site is www.picturetrail.com. If you don't want the same boring slideshows that your friends have this is the site for you. There are many 3-d options for slideshows including cubes, carousels, spirals, and rotating glass. You can also choose from a wide selection of transitions to give your slideshow that extra special look. I use picturetraill.com for most of my slideshows.

There are several other sites for slideshows available so it may take you a while to find the perfect fit for your page. The more you create slideshows the easier it will be. Good luck!
