Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast
Made famous during her trial for the 1892 murders of her family members, Lizzie Borden has become somewhat of a pop icon in southeast Massachusetts. Although she was acquitted, nobody else was ever found guilty of the murders. The house where the murders took place has been converted into a museum and 8-room bed and breakfast. As of 2010, room rates start at $150 per night, and rates in the rooms where the bodies were discovered cost slightly more.
Guests should note that the house is open for museum tours daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m, and during that time you will be required to allow guests into your room. The house also hosts re-enactment nights where local actors perform throughout the rooms. If you plan on being out during the day and don't mind paying up for the chance to live in an allegedly haunted home, Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast would be a good choice for you. It is within walking distance of downtown Fall River.

Post a CommentI love the "train" McDonalds in Fall River!
Sounds wonderful. Love your new photo! Pretty smile.
I'd rather NOT stay in one of the rooms where the bodies were found.
I was also thinking about the cost of the rooms where the bodies were found. What a gruesome discovery!

Fascinating... what does it say about people that it costs more to stay in the rooms where the bodies were discovered?
