Where to Stay in Geneva-on-the-Lake Ohio

Geneva-on-the-Lake, on the shores of Lake Erie about an hour's drive east of Cleveland, has been a summer getaway spot for more than 100 years. There's plenty to do there. You can stroll the boardwalk and savor the fair-style food and arcade games; sip (surprisingly good) Ohio wine at one of several area wineries; or shop for antiques and collectibles at the many antique stores and flea markets.

Geneva State Park Lodge - Located at the western edge of Geneva-on-the-Lake, the 698-acre Geneva State Park offers miles of biking and hiking trails, a marina, fishing pier, and a white sand beach. The modern lodge there features 109 guest rooms (many of which have views of Lake Erie), an indoor swimming pool, restaurant with an outdoor patio, and fitness room. The Lodge is within walking distance of most Geneva-on-the-Lake attractions.

Lakehouse Inn and Winery - Situated in a romantic, lakeview setting reminiscent of California, the Lakehouse Inn offers eight guest rooms, three cottages and a unique lakeview apartment with its own balcony deck overlooking Lake Erie. All guest accommodations have private baths and cottages offer kitchenettes. The property also features a winery/grill, and a full-service restaurant.

Eagle Cliff Inn - Located on the eastern end of the resort area, the Eagle Cliff Inn is situated right on the Strip, within walking distance of the lake. The restored 19th century, Victorian home features seven guest rooms, all with private baths. The Inn also owns five cottages, located behind the inn--all with kitchens, baths, and screened-in porches.
