Where to Stay in Northeast Ohio's Wine Country

Northeast Ohio's wine country, located along the shores of Lake Erie and the Grand River that runs to it, might be less well-known than California's Napa and Sonoma Valleys. But, the area's 19 small and medium-sized wineries produce award-winning wines and are especially known for their Icewines and Rieslings. The area, which also boasts a collection of covered bridges, antique stores and Lake Erie beaches, makes a delightful getaway from the big city. Michael Cahill Bed and Breakfast
Located across the street from Lake Erie and just a block from Ashtabula harbor, Michael Cahill Bed and Breakfast welcomes guests from April 1 through December. The ten-room, 1887-circa home offers four guest suites, all with private baths, air-conditioning and private telephone lines.
