If you have the dedication and the desire, there are schools in the New York Area that have many different types of broadcasting lessons, some with degrees some with not, depending on what particular field you are interested in. Graduates of the broadcasting lessons taught in these schools have gone on to have great careers in all phases of broadcasting from behind the scenes to doing voice overs, news anchors, sports reporters and everything else there is in broadcasting. Take a look at the various broadcasting these New York schools offer and pick the one where you fell you fit in and go for it. You can take your dreams as high as you want too.

New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies has an interesting program of broadcasting lessons which will introduce you to the voice over field.

They also have lessons that lead to a Nielsen Certificate in TV Audience Measurement, You learn the structure of the TV industry and the research methodologies used to gather and report Nielsen ratings, as well as other TV research techniques. Recent students who have completed this certificate were placed in positions at ABC, CBS, and the WB; Viacom's channel LOGO; and Nielsen Media Research.

The Connecticut School of Broadcasting in New York has one of the most extensive lists of broadcasting lessons you will find anywhere. Their graduates have gone on to work for major local stations and nationwide networks, have gotten jobs as voice over talents and even touring with music artists.
