Places in Georgia to Pick Up 2008 Tax Books and Forms

Tax forms in Georgia and Macon in particular can be picked up at a few places. Any United States Post Office has both State and Federal 2008 Tax Forms. The US Post Offices in Georgia carries All of the State of Georgia Tax Book of Instructions and All of the Versions of the Instruction books and forms for the Federal United States Tax Forms for 2008. Another place that has even more versions of different state taxes and all Federal Tax Instruction Books and Tax Forms for 2008 is any Public Library. The Library has all of the United States different State Tax Books as well as the State of Georgia. In addition, any IRS offices in the local areas will have the Georgia State Tax Books and Forms for 2008, and all of the last 5 years past. The Local IRS Offices will also carry the Instruction Books and Forms for the previous 5 years of United States Federal Taxes.

In addition to these places, tax software can be purchased many places. When purchasing tax software, with some versions of the pre-packaged tax software and individual can even pay for tax software and electronic filing fees all at the same time. Turbo Tax and Tax Cut can both be purchased at Wal-Mart, Sam's Clubs, Target Stores, Books-A-Million, Barnes and Nobles Book Stores and many other department stores. In addition, Office Depot, Office Max and other office supply stores also carry these versions of the tax software for 2008. Many times discounted software can be purchased online.

For individuals who make under a certain amount of money or are Active Duty Military are entitled to use the IRS's Free File program. Under this free program the taxes are computed free through numerous tax preparers such as H and R Block or Turbo Tax and can compute and file their taxes for free on these web sites linked to the IRS.gov web site. Filing fees for certain state taxes and state filing fees are covered as well. This program is limited to individuals who make under the certain amount of money. Last year that amount was $42,000.00 approximately. Many tax payers will fall under this program to file their taxes for free. Direct Deposit is available under this program, as well as having a refund mailed through the United States Mail.

With all of the ways for individuals to complete tax forms for individuals, anyone should be able to complete the related taxes for 2008 easily and inexpensively. Since 2008 opens free file to even more individuals, many should be able to do this on their computers or use a computer at any public library, which has internet access. For those who prefer to file by mailing in the forms and filling out the paper forms, there are many places which carry the Instruction books and forms. Remember to file taxes before the deadline of April 15, 2009.
