St. Vrain Valley Adult Education
One of the most popular ESL programs in Longmont is at the adult education center of the St. Vrain Valley School District. This program offers classes Mondays through Wednesdays during the day and in the evenings. Highly-trained and experienced ESL teachers need classroom assistants during their ESL classes to help students on an individual and small group basis. ESL tutors can also work with one particular student during ESL lab once a week to help a student get the extra English practice she needs to become a better user of the language. Intercambio de Comunidades
Intercambio, as it is known for short in Longmont and Boulder, is a nonprofit organization based in Boulder, Colorado that works to facilitate cross-cultural exchange in Boulder County. It has an office in Longmont. Tutors can teach small classes in the Longmont office, or work one-on-one with a student in his home on a regular basis. Intercambio offers good volunteer support and training as well as multiple teacher resources to help volunteers become more effective English teachers. Intercambio also runs a program matching native English-speaking parents with English-learning parents in its Intercambio & Schools Together Program. Front Range Community College
If you are a student Front Range Community College's Teaching English as a Second Language certificate program, you can tutor ESL students that attend Front Range. Tutoring is available to ESL students on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Learning Center of the college.
