Where and How to Vote on Super Tuesday in Los Angeles and Orange Counties

All the Information You Need to Get Out There and Make a Difference!

For those of us in the Southern California area, there are plenty of resources to help get us to the polls tomorrow on Super Tuesday. What I'm really trying to tell you is that there is absolutely no excuse for you not to vote tomorrow, or any other time in the future.

Los Angeles County has established a website entirely dedicated to the voting process. It's located at http://www.lavote.net/. The website includes a resource to help you find your polling place most importantly, but also has downloadable PDF files of your local ballot measures, a calendar of events, and much more. Once the election is over, you can access election results online on the same site.

Orange County has also established a dedicated voter information website, located at http://www.ocvote.net. Orange County's site is more visually attractive than Los Angeles County's effort, and is also a bit easier to navigate. Like Los Angeles County's voter site, you can find your polling place, register to vote (not much good at this point for Super Tuesday, but still a nice resource), and access election results.

Orange County's voter information website also has extensive information on California's required Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT). In this age of election fraud and an increasing voter distrust of electronic voting machines, it's important for voters to have that information.

Lastly, according to the California Secretary of State, if you have not yet received your sample ballot, or have not registered, you can receive a provisional ballot at your polling place on the date of the election if you show proof of residence. Provisional ballots are put into a separate ballot box and verified by election officials prior to being counted.

Now that I have given you all the information you need to vote, get out there and make your voice heard!
