Where to vote in Texas: Now that the Texas presidential primary is under way, more and more voters are turning to the Internet to find where they should go to cast their ballots. To make things easier for those in search of their polling place, here is a compiled list with details of where registered voters can go to make their choices.

Where to Vote in Texas: Texas Secretary of State

The main place to find information on precincts statewide within the state of Texas is the Texas Secretary of State, Phil Wilson's website. There information is listed in both English and Spanish so that not only can you find the location to vote, but one may also verify that they are registered to vote by entering either their Texas drivers license number or their voter unique identifier (VUID). The site requires this same information, as well and as the date of birth of the potential voter, in order to determine their designated polling place.

Where to Vote in Texas: Votexas.org

Votexas.org is another site that shows the voter if they have their voter's registration card, where to find their prospective precinct number. From there they will click the link for County Precincts and Polling Place Addresses. This link then again takes them to the Texas secretary of state's website.

Where to Vote in Texas: County Websites for Texas

Finally, there is the Texas Association of Counties (TAC) website. This site displays a map of the state of Texas with each county map out as well as the counties listed in alphabetical order. From this site, you are able to link from the TAC to the prospective county's website. From there the voter will link directly to the county site to locate the voter's information page. For this site keep in mind, that each county has a different designed website. Those locating the information may take longer than others may.

There is also an option for those that are not the most Internet savvy are those that feel better about talking to a live person. All that is required is to contact the county elections clerk's office of the county in which the voter lives. One of the representatives staffing the phones will be more than happy to direct the caller to their designated precinct.
