The first sports bar I would like to mention is, Chelis, located at, 41240 Hayes Road in Clinton Township, Michigan. Chelios Chili Bar is owned by Detroit's Red Wings Defenseman, and future Hall of famer, Chris Chelios. The atmosphere is energetic, along with a great friendly wait staff, a fun filled night is waiting every time. No matter where you sit, you have a view of one, of many big screen TVs to watch the opening game. Also as a precaution, there is a sign placed on the door, for those who are unfamiliar with Chelis, to inform all sports fans, of loud air horn blowing during sporting events. This makes you feel like your sitting in the stadium along with other fans. The food here is outstanding. The menu offers a full variety, from burgers, pizza to steaks. This is one place, you will enjoy watching the Tigers on their first day of baseball.
The next place to mention would be CJ Barrymores, located at, 21750 Hall Road, Clinton Township, MI . In their bar, they have big screen TVs, which gives everyone a great view of the game. CJ Barrymores offers a full menu, with great pizza, and burgers. If you take your children, and they are not into baseball, there is a wide range of activities to keep them occupied such as batting cages, laser tag, bowling, and an arcade. To help out with saving a little extra money, on their website www.cjbarrymores.com, you will find valuable coupons for free bowling, laser tag, arcade tokens, and a family pack deal.
Last but not least is, Dave and Busters, located at, 45511 Park Avenue, Utica , MI 48315. The Viewpoint bar has big screen TVs, with great views, for you to kick back and relax, while you watch the Tigers on opening day. The wait staff is friendly, and the food is great. Dave and Busters has the eat and play combo for $15.99. This includes your dinner, and $10 of free play time for the kids, or for yourself after the game. This is one place where you can get great food, and enjoy the game in a fun filled relaxed atmosphere.
Any one of these great sports bars will provide you, and your family an excellent view of the Detroit Tigers, in action on opening day 2009, and providing entertainment after.
