Where to Write: Erotica Website Markets for Your Writing

Tina Samuels
Erotica has always been a special market for writers, and they have a good list of specialized online websites to submit your writing. Most erotica writers tend to choose a pen name to write under, and the success they have in those fields isn't quite as talked about. But for those who aren't shy there is a wealth of erotica markets to enhance your acceptance rating and your paycheck. Erotica is always a well read market, for both men and women.

These markets are all online websites that are seeking erotica manuscripts and short stories for their site. Their submission guidelines are given where applicable and general information as to what they generally publish is also in the profiles. If you want a more online presence than a print market, these are the markets that cater to the erotica e-markets that you seek. Remember that the "heat" index of the piece will be a factor as to which market is more equipped to publish your work. So make sure you see if you're the right fit for the website before wasting time and effort crafting a piece.

These erotica markets are all websites that cater to the sex niche market. All the information that you'll need to submit is given.

Clean Sheets
Clean Sheets accepts fiction, poetry, articles, and exotica. There is both a magazine and a newsletter that writers can subscribe to. It is a very well regarded website in erotica circles.

The Erotic Woman
The Erotic Woman publishes poetry, fiction, and essays on a well laid out website. If you would like to submit to them their email is submissions@theeroticwoman.com

Fresh Off the Vine
Fresh off the Vine takes short homosexual fiction for their bi-monthly newsletter. They make a small payment for these stories.

For The Girls
For the Girls takes fiction and article submissions. They also have an audio fiction section. It is a pay site with difficult to find submission guidelines, but one that seems to have some traffic.

Inky Blue Allusions
Inky Blue Allusions deals with fiction, serials, and audio. Payment varies by type of submission, and may be included in anthologies later. Submissions can be either single stories or in batches of 5. If you would like to submit to them their email is submissions@inkyblueallusions.net.

Ruthie's Club
Ruthie's Club specializes in illustrated erotic fiction and has a decent following of readers. They have a submission checklist available on site, and depending on the submission, will pay between $10 and $350.

Shadow Sacrament
Shadow Sacrament publishes poetry and nonfiction designed to relate sex with spirituality. I did see a call for submissions for upcoming projects. If you would like more information and feel that you have something that would fit their guidelines, you may email them at Skian@topdogpress.com

Three Pillows
Three Pillows features bisexuality and publishes articles, columns, poetry, fiction, interviews, product reviews, and op-ed pieces. There is a minimum payment of $20 for stories. You can reach them at editor@threepillows.com
