Where's the GOP Health Care and Jobs Plans?

When Silence is Not Golden

Sherry Tomfeld
Republicans were voted in last election because people did not want the health care plan foisted on them by the Democrats. I'm a conservative and was glad about the outcome of the elections. I watched as each speaker, democrat and republican, got up and gave their speech before the House vote on overturning the Obama health care plan. I watched the vote take place. Now what? I have yet to see a written GOP health care proposal. Is there one? If there is, why isn't it plastered and talked about in every conceivable venue? If there isn't one, why the hell not?

Republicans were tagged with "The Party of No". Without a health care plan for us ALL to read and discuss, are they living up to that title? Does their version of our health care carry the water for pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies? If so, it should go down in flames. I am not alone in saying that the American people want to see a health care bill with their welfare in mind.

When it comes to the democrats job creating abilities, it's non-existent. But to be fair, I haven't heard what I want to from republicans either. What are their job creating ideas? Are they going to bring back our American companies from overseas by cutting the red tape, regulations and tariffs that made them go outside the U.S.? Are they going to put a choker leash on the Unions? Are the "green" jobs actually going to stay in the U.S.?

Unemployment and illegal immigration. Where are the GOP plans? Farmers across the country are worried about getting their crops in and out if illegal immigrants aren't used. With so many people out of a job, maybe a requirement should be that if you are healthy and able, you have to take the jobs that come up or go hungry. If I could plant, hoe and pick tomatoes, pickles and tomatoes and raise factory hogs, so can they. We make it easy for some Americans to be soft and cry like babies when the government teat dries up.

Is the GOP united? Are republicans that have held office for years too compromised to speak out strongly about the GOP plans to save the country? If they are, let them step aside and let the new republicans step up to the plate.

The next election is looming. The GOP needs to get their "plans" for America in front of Americans.

Good questions and points all. If Republicans don't deliver I can see the Tea Party growing in power and influence, and for my money that's a good thing. If we'd only return to the Founding principles, we'd solve almost every problem this nation faces.

I think that a house divided can not stand is appropriate to the modern politics. Great work.

I think the parties have to come together to solve our problems. Great article.

I think the new reps and senators have only been in office about 3 weeks...let's give 'em a little more time and see what rips.

Very interesting! I think the Democrats are Communists. The Republicans are only half useless. Maybe they can be changed. Pray for America!

    Both parties are useless.
