Wherever You Are

April Higney
Goodnight, or good morning,
wherever you are,
beneath the waning moon,
or catching rays beneath the brightest sun star.

Goodnight, or good morning,
whether you are far or near,
beneath beautiful soft blue skies,
or laying upon the grass on a starlit night so clear.

Goodnight or good morning,
whether you see the beautiful sunrise or sunset,
beside the oceans swiftly moving tide, or along the banks of a calm lake,
we share in the same majestic views, our hearts don't forget.

Goodnight, or good morning,
wherever you are, sweet dreams, or a wish for a happy day,
in the warmth or the chill of a season transforming,
in closeness of thought and heart you are not so far away.
