Which is Better Choice for Travel: A Laptop, or Smart Phone?
Taking All Things into Consideration, Which One Would Be Better to Bring?
Using a smart phone or a laptop while traveling may not be the real question, the decision could be based on how much information do you really need. A smart phone is capable of storing a lot of information. They have games to pass the time, allow you to surf the internet, check email, and even Instant message. Smart phones are also much easier to carry than laptops when traveling, which makes them easy to use anywhere. A smart phone or a laptop during your travels could both be used, even on vacations, although smart phones don't need hot spots. Most smart phones that have a signal probably have internet service. Smart phones are also less likely to be stolen while traveling, considering you will be carrying it on your persons.
One thing to ask yourself when considering a smart phone or a laptop is will you be traveling by plane. Most major Airlines do not allow the use of cell phones in flight, making any flight, over a couple hours, a long time to be out of contact with your business. Many airlines now have Wi-Fi available for a small fee, allowing a laptop to be a more logical option over a smart phone while traveling. Laptops also have the ability of backing up data on to a disk, in addition to everything a smart phone can do. When it comes to being entertained by a smart phone or a laptop, the laptop's today allow users to watch DVD's, and they give the option for video conferencing during their travels.
When considering a smart phone or a laptop for traveling, it is best to ask what is the purpose of your trip. If you are on a family vacation, sitting on your laptop would probably not be the best choice, especially when you can easily and quickly use a smart phone and still appear to be paying attention. If you are traveling on a business trip, a laptop would probably be the best option to pass the time and to use for business purposes. Both a smart phone or a laptop have security features that help protect from unauthorized use. It is up to you on which one will be the more logical choice for the trip, whether your in search of entertainment, or business, or both.
