Let us take a look at every system the Government has stepped into. Health care, education, energy, infrastructure and mortgage lending are areas the Government has stomped on. All have been hurt by government interaction.
The Government recently has stepped into the automobile bankruptcies and the Wall Street bailouts where even the rule of law itself has been stomped on in the name of good intentions. Politicians and bureaucrats solution to the problem it causes is alway...more government. They love to solve problems they themselves created.
Now Obama and his followers in Congress (the Donkey Party or Party of Yes) want to solve problems created by the government's role in health care, education, energy, infrastructure, mortgage lending and immigration by proposing a complete federal takeover of these systems. How has the Government ever helped any of these systems? They are the ones who should take the blame for causing each one of these areas to fail.
Currently the big debate is over health care reform...known as Obamacare. President Obama has been in full campaign mode since attempting to ruin the health care system. He has been on television more than that "sham-wow" guy.
Everyone already knows how our Government handles health care. The Government has "given" us Medicare and it is in the red by $36.3 trillion dollars. What does the Congressional Budget Office say about Obamacare?
The CBO report is shocking. Just by reading through Title I of the report, the CBO estimates that the so-called health care reform, also known as Obamacare, would add at least $1 trillion to our federal deficit while only extending health insurance to a net 16 million more Americans. OK...so what about the 46 million uninsured it was supposed to cover under Obamacare? Fuzzy math?
What I found even more scary is what the CBO's estimate didn't include. "The proposal does not include a 'public plan' that would be offered in the exchanges, nor does it contain provisions that would require employers to offer health insurance benefits or impose a fee or tax on them if they did not offer insurance coverage to their workers."
Obama loves to claim "If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what." The CBO report tells us this is a bold-faced lie.
The Congressional Budget Office disagrees with Obama's claim. The CBO analysis is that while the Kennedy-Dodd (Obamacare) bill would allow 39 million uninsured Americans to receive health insurance, the plan also would kick about 15 million individuals out of the system because their employers would no longer offer insurance. Also, coverage from other sources would decline by some 8 million individuals. All of this and we still have to figure in the "public plan", which will make the numbers worse.
Now I know those who have a cultish adoration for Obama will try to debate the facts with emotions. Its a losing argument. Obama and his Obamacare plan is just another attempt by a liberal to stick the government's crooked hands into the private sector. I believe the private sector has and will win this battle because competition is better than no competition.
Lets move on to the education system. This is an area the Government has meddled in for years. How has that worked?
Remember when American students were at the top in categories such as reading and math? Since the 1970's, the downward slide has continued. This is due to Government involvement in the educational system.
It is a known-fact that most teachers in the educational system are liberals or tend to vote for the Donkey Party. They have hijacked our children's education by subjecting them to "social promotions" even if they have not mastered their grade level.
Examine the educational differences between government-run schools and private schools. Children at private schools tend to score higher in English and Math and have higher scores on the S.A.T. Besides, the Federal Government has no business in the education system because Education is a State right. All this is the culmination of one hundred years of Progressive regression.
Under Obama, we have a wide assortment of Liberals who can neither read or do math. How many of his potential cabinet members had to resign due to not paying taxes? How about liberals Democrats who failed to read the entire $787 billion dollar "porkulus" package. I could go on and on about those in the House and Congress who refuse to pay taxes or read bills they introduce into legislation.
Recently, we had the House of Representatives pass a Cap and Trade (H.R. 2454) bill that not even the co-sponsor had read. Henry Waxman (D) admitted that he had not read the entire bill. Maybe it was due to his government run education? Check out how a liberal works by watching this clip from youtube.com (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7FS5B-CynM&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fblog%2Eheritage%2Eorg%2F2009%2F05%2F04%2Fvideo%2Dliberals%2Dcrush%2Dhope%2Din%2Deducation%2Dreform%2F&feature=player_embedded)
The Cap and Trade bill is nothing but a huge energy tax increase plan. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi falsely claimed the measure was about four things: "jobs, jobs, jobs and jobs." Finally, a liberal telling the truth. What jobs will the Cap and Trade bill bring?
Jobs lost, jobs never created, jobs sent overseas and jobs people will be paid for doing long after they cease to exist. For those of us who do read the bills liberal refuse to, you might be comforted in knowing that should you lose your job because of this Cap and Trade bill, you will get a weekly paycheck for up to three years...from Uncle Sam.
Has any area of that has had any Government involvement ever succeeded? When the Government gets involved, two things happen. It ends up costing the American taxpayer more money and more lost jobs.
With Obama's promise to improve America's infrastructure, you think there would be jobs-a-plenty. He rushed his "stimulus" package and to this date, only about $58 billion of it has been spent. Where is the rush to create jobs?
Now, as if the economy isn't enough of a concern, President Obama wants to tackle immigration. I didn't think we had an immigration problem. I know we have an illegal immigration problem.
American taxpayers do not have a single issue with individuals who are here by way of following laws. They tend to have a problem with those that break our laws and drain our systems: health care, education, welfare and law enforcement.
Why does Obama want to tackle a non-issue? He wants to secure the Hispanic vote for the Donkey Party...for years to come. Just another block to fund the democratic bankroll.
Big Government's worst enemy is an informed citizenry. In today's society we have so many that have been blinded by the chants of "yes we can" and the fake calls of "change and hope." I will always side with the private sector because the success rate with them has always been positive and more productive. Can you say that about Government interference?

Post a Commentthis crap they are trying to ram down our throats tastes of government against the people.they say this will give us more choices, well the choice I want and use is cash, it seems I am loosing this choice and probably more in the fine print. I wish someone would stand up for my rights instead mandating me or punishing me if I dont buy what they want me to, sounds more like communism. signed freedom loving american.
I love it when they go to the tape, you can't lie when it's on tape, atleast not succesfully. Another great job of holding them accountable!
One thing I have learned over the years; the government is good only for promising to solve all the problems they created! So, hell, yes, I think it's a SWELL idea to let them take over the auto industry and healthcare! It'll bring the same efficiency it brought to the INS, which is trying to throw my best friend's LEGAL immigrant wife out of the country after 5 years and $23,000 worth of red tape! Yeah, that's EXACTLY what we need more of in the USA!
