Which Bret Hart-Vince McMahon Showdown Will We See at Wrestlemania XXVI?

So Many Options for the Chairman vs. The Hitman

Jeff D Gorman
After the surreal Bret Hart-Vince McMahon truce fell apart on the January 4 Raw, we know the bitter rivals will square off in one of the top matches at Wrestlemania XXVI.

However, Bret hasn't wrestled in 10 years, after suffering a severe concussion and a stroke. Vince McMahon is in his 60s.

So, recalling the McMahon-Donald Trump hair match a few years ago (which pitted Bobby Lashley against Umaga), what kind of match could we see on March 28 in Arizona?

1. Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H

Triple H turns on Shawn for buddying up to their longtime enemy, Bret Hart. DX explodes at Wrestlemania with Bret in Shawn's corner...and Vince in his son-in-law Triple H's corner.

2. Shawn Michaels & Bret Hart vs. Triple H & Vince McMahon

Same setup, only Bret and Vince are actually part of the match. While this is physically risky, it could give the fans the satisfaction of seeing Vince tap out to Bret's sharpshooter submission hold.

3. Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon street fight

This probably won't happen because of the physical limitations of both men. This is why Donald Trump didn't actually fight Vince at Wrestlemania.

4. Bret Hart & The Hart Dynasty vs. DX & Vince McMahon

Under pressure from Triple H, Shawn turns against Bret and joins Vince's crusade. The Hitman recruits the new generation of his family to thwart Vince and DX.

And my personal favorite...

5. Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock

Shawn volunteers to fight for Bret at Wrestlemania, and Vince goes through the Rolodex and pulls out The Rock! Of course, The Rock would play his arrogant Hollywood heel character.

Rock could turn against Vince at the end of the match as payback for Vince's alliance with Steve Austin at Wrestlemania 17.

That way, all three baby faces can celebrate, everyone can get their revenge and Vince's heel character can be retired.
