In order to have a healthy life, with enough energy to go about our daily business, as well as being able to mentally function we have to take care of this amazing natural machine called the human body. Our bodies need minerals, vitamins, proteins and more to keep this natural wonder going strong. If we are depleting our stores for too long, we get sick, sluggish, run out of mental prowess and more. Did you know that you can use specific herbs to supplement mineral depletion? Due to our poor eating habits and stress we are now more in need of supplements then ever before. Various herbs accumulate high amounts of minerals, which can benefit from by taking them in easy absorbable capsules, tinctures, teas or by ingesting the whole plant. Below are a list of various herbs paired the correct mineral.

If you are deficient in Calcium you may consider taking Valerian Root, Buchu Leaf, Pau d'arco bark or White Oak Bark. One good calcium Formulas would also be a combination of equal parts of Alfalfa, Comfrey, Horsetail, Irish Moss, Lobelia and Oat Straw.

For Chromium you may wish to take the following herbs. Hibiscus Flower, Spirulina Algae, Gymnema and Oat Straw.

Is your Copper count a bit too low? Try Skullcap, Sage Leaf, White Oak and Horsetail.

In case of an Iron deficiency you may take: Devil's Claw Root, Chickweed, Mullein leaf or Pennyroyal. Each is great to bring you Iron count up. Please be sure to research your level of Iron you should have first however. Women require higher levels of Iron, where as Men can have problems if their Iron level it too high.

Magnesium is very important and especially good if in combination with Calcium. This will help your stress levels, weight loss and stress levels. To upgrade your Magnesium levels reach for Irish Moss, Oatstraw, Turmeric Seed or licorice root.

Manganese is a less talked about Mineral. Manganese is responsible in keeping your blood sugar levels normal, help you with bone density and again stress levels. Make sure that you don't get too much of a good thing however. You can get a helping of Manganese out of Red Raspberry Leaves, Grapevine, Bilberry and Yerba Santa.

Phosphorus levels can be supplemented by the use of Blue Cohosh Root, Bilberry, Yerba Santa and Dog Grass.

We all need a measure of Sodium in our bodies. Too much isn't good for you, but if your levels are too low, it isn't beneficial either. You can gain Sodium by using Irish Moss, Kelp, Rose Hips or Gotu Kola.

For Potassium you want to take Parsley, Horseradish, Blessed Thistle and Barley Grass.

Let us not forget the Mineral Zinc either. Bilberry, Mistletoe, Skullcap, Buchu Leaf and Capsicum are excellent for this Mineral.

Each herb of course has many more functions in healing and supplementing your body. For example Buchu Leaf is wonderful for dealing with Bed Wetting, Bladder Weakness, Diabetes, Gravel, Pancreas, Prostate Gland, and Rheumatism as well as in aid of cleaning up Venereal Disease.

Sore Throats will find Rose Hip beneficial as well.
