Which Idol Will Get Slashed?

American Idol Top 4

American Idol travels unchartered territory tonight; at least that's what the Twitter's say! There's a rumor going round' that Paula Abdul is going to perform her new single. Paula will finally prove to people that aren't familiar with her music, that she is cutting edge, stage worthy and more than experienced enough to judge our young contestants.

Paula released a song, produced by Randy Jackson last year called; "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" The song has been so popular, more than 3.5 million views on YouTube since its release. It looks like Paula's received more than enough recognition and realized the public still love her.

It was a bit surprising to hear that "Slash" (Saul Hudson) mentored our idols this week. Not only is he bringing his massive talent with him, but we'll get a chance to see his signature static infused hair as well. Slash is the former guitarist and band mate of Guns & Roses, now lead guitarist for "Velvet Revolver", a rockin' band which brings heavy metal to the masses.

Slash has had a ferocious career since his Roses days. In addition to the unbridled fame to two awesome metal bands, Slash undertook the role of session guitarist working on Michael Jackson's "Dangerous" album, as well as work with Ray Charles, Alice Cooper and several other notables.

With Slash as their mentor, how will the wannabe idols perform under pressure? I don't think any will succumb, but we'll have to wait and see. Slash commented that all the contestants showed promise and could "sing their butts off" but he is more than impressed by our Adam Lambert.

Adam has responded well in recent weeks when in the presence of greatness. Tonight should be no exception for our favorite contestant. Adam Lambert's got the modern edge the show needs and the vocals to steal tonight's show right out from under the remaining contestants.

We're down to the top 4 and edging closer to the finale. Each Idol wannabe has to be perfect tonight. They've got to bring it, or face losing it. Danny Gokey, Allison Ireheta, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen have a tough night ahead and a whole day of waiting in store. Who will get the ax next?

Tonight's show should be full of surprises and hopefully we're moving away from the songs of yesteryear and into the songs of today. Tune in tonight at 8:00 p.m., to get you Idol fill and make sure you vote for your favorite. Save them if you can!
