Which Pet is Better? a Dog or a Cat?

Look Inside Yourself for the Best Answer!

The question really is: Which animal are you best suited to raise?

Now take me, for example. I like to know where I stand. Cats won't let you do that. They're complicated, even sneaky. It's part of their charm. Now my doggies...with them, what you see, is what you get. I don't have to wonder if they're about to pounce on me and will they land on my head? When they want to be 70 pound lap dogs, they approach me looking their most attractive hound selves. They glance up at me with those sad, bloodshot hound dog eyes and lower their foreheads so they appear to be peaking up at me from about five inches off the floor. Who can resist? Not me, I tell you. I'll pass on a cat pouncing on me any day in favor of a big galoot of a dog creeping up in my lap like a two year old.

Then there's the eating thing. Most cat owners give their pets something that stinks to high heaven and lasts on the cat's breath long after the food is gone. My guys are fed dry dog food that comes in a healthy looking array of colors representing all the major food groups. When it's gone, memories don't linger in the air. And if I may be a bit off-color, I will add that dry food produces much cleaner, more compact "waste matter."

Finally, I vote for dogs hands down because I love walking them in the park. People stop and pet them, reminisce about their pets here and gone, and walk away with a smile on their faces. Walk away from a cat and you'll either be smelling your hand or looking for a faucet.
