I decided to buy it. I also bought a beautiful male Betta fish, rocks and a few little ornaments for the inside.
When I got it home I immediately opened the package and put the Aquarium together. The base of the tank is black with black trim. Along the base is a slide out drawer that holds supplies. It has a lid with a small air hole and comes with a black light, that is mounted on the back of the tank. The light is adjustable and has a red and blue color shield to choose from to add tint to the water. There is a pump system that is also included in the Aquarium kit. It is black and rests on the back, right corner of the tank. It keeps air circulated throughout the water and has a replaceable filter.
Along with maintenance and set up instructions, the kit also includes two Filter cartridges for the pump system. A packet of Aqua safe water conditioner and a packet of TetraMin tropical flakes fish food.
The kit comes with a lifetime guarantee and technical support. They have a Website and toll free number if there are any problems. The Kit costs around $25.
I like how small the Aquarium is, it can be placed anywhere. It has a filter pump system, so I do not have to clean it very often. The blue color shield that covers the light emphasizes the rocks and ornaments I have in the tank. The lid is important because I have curious cats. It sits down into the trim snuggly, so I never have to worry about it. I also like the fact that the lid has a small hole in the back, if I wanted to put in a heater. Tetra has heaters that fit this tank but they are sold separately.
There is only one complaint I have about the Whisper Aquarium kit. The air pump converter is a bit noisy. It vibrates loudly. I rarely notice it in the daytime but at night it can be irritating. I will probably have to replace it soon.
Overall I think the kit is a good deal. For around $30 I have a fish tank that is pleasing to look at and easy to maintain, with the rocks and ornaments included. The kit also gives you enough water conditioner and fish food to last a long time.

Post a CommentThanks for the review. It's a pity the air pump converter is so loud though!
