Whispered Goodbyes

Layla Lair
Whispered Goodbyes

Through her eyes frail
Impending of winter
She meets the returning fingers
Of eternity gray
Seeking its cold grasp
Found fading and yearning
Blankly lost in the stillness
Of her final gaze

Brief flooding hints
Of her days once lived
Cloak her through the final sighs
Releasing her
To touch all she loved
And whisper her last goodbyes

What an incredible poem. You can feel the impending winter. What medium did you do the illustration in and do you have an online gallery of your other work? Amazing talent!

Wonderful work. It is brief yet very moving with a touch of sadness. The picture you included is also compliments the poem very well too.
