Ingredients

1/4 cup soft bread crumbs
2 tbsp dry white wine or water
1 15 to 19 ounce can white kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp fresh or 1/2 tsp dried snipped fresh oregano or basil or dried oregano or basil, crushed
to serve Pita chips or vegetable dippers
Directions for White Bean Dip

Using a small bowl, combine bread crumbs and wine. Set aside and let soak for 10 minutes2
Meanwhile; in a food processor or blender, combine beans, almonds, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, cayenne pepper, and garlic. Cover and process until almost smooth.3
Add bread crumb mixture and process until smooth.4
