White Cheddar Cheez-It Recipes

Cheez-Its are a staple in many American households. Many people pick up a box every few months; and the family snacks on them on a regular basis.

Cheez-Its has just recently introduced a new flavor of cracker called White Cheddar Cheez-Its. I like regular Cheez-Its okay, but don't eat them much. I'm not a huge snacker. When I do snack; I usually prefer fruit, or salad, or sushi, or something. I'm not a huge eater of starches like crackers, chips, and such. But, at a party or something I might grab a handful.

I tried the newest White Cheddar Cheez-Its version a few weeks ago, and really enjoyed them. They are something I might eat more often. The taste is a little bit more elegant and flavorful; rather than generic and boring. I also find the regular Cheddar Cheez-It version to be a bit too salty sometimes. I tend to eat like 4 or 5 regular Cheez-Its and then stop. With the White Cheddar Cheez-It version, I found myself eating a regular portion size.

Here are some cooking ideas you can use for the White Cheddar Cheez-It crackers.

White Cheddar Cheez-It Chicken and Pasta - Oil a baking pan. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sprinkle sliced chicken breasts of a medium thickness with salt, pepper, fresh oregano and crushed White Cheddar Cheez-It crackers. Pour over some sour cream to cover breasts with a thin layer. Add another layer of crushed White Cheddar Cheez-It Crackers.

Turn oven down to 350 degrees; and cook 15 -30 minutes or until meat is done and crust is toasted. Serve over pasta tossed with extra virgin olive oil, a little of your favorite vinegar and oregano.

White Cheddar Cheez-It Fried Chicken Wings - Heat a large saucepan of oil. Chop wing parts into legs and thighs. Drench chicken pieces into scrambled eggs or scrambled egg whites. Then dredge the wing parts in a blend of flour, crushed White Cheddar Cheez-Its, salt, pepper (and fresh basil if you like it). Pan fry the wings until done. Drain excess oil on paper towels.

White Cheddar Cheez-It Crunchy Broccoli and Cauliflower Bake - Oil a baking pan. Put in a layer of broccoli and cauliflower tossed with a little crushed White Cheddar Cheez-Its. Then add a layer of shredded pepper jack cheese blended with sour cream. Top with a layer of White Cheddar Cheez-Its. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes or until done.

These recipes are simple and quick. You can easily throw them together in a few minutes after work. They are the types of foods that adults and children both enjoy. You can serve all the dishes with a light salad. The White Cheddar Cheez-It Fried Chicken goes especially well in the summertime; with a salad wherein you've included some fresh cold fruit. This new version of Cheez-Its lends itself well to cooking. I'm sure many people will find many more delicious ways to prepare these crackers.
