The Hip Pocket Theatre presents a production written by Lake Simons and John Dyer Sept. 10-20 featuring a series of poetic vignettes about animals, people, and objects transforming from one plane to another.

"White Elephant" will take the stage at the Fort Worth, Texas theatre at 1950 Silver Creek with show times of Thurs., Fri., Sat., and Sun. at 8:15 p.m. No late seating will be available.

The Hip Pocket recently got a new stage, seeming to arise out of the organic vegetation surrounding it, according to writer Punch Shaw. The theatre was founded in 1976 by Johnny and Diane Simons and Douglas Balentine, but its roots actually go back much earlier, as stated by one website.

For reservations, see hippocket.org online or call the box office at 817-246-9775.
