Description:
Emily Greene, an art restorer, was good friends with Dan Aries when Dan committed suicide. A few weeks after his death, Emily receives two nighttime visitors. One tries to kill her, the other saves her from death.
Max's, Dan's son, job, a counter-terrorist agent with T-FLAC, he discovers that other art restorers are being found dead throughout the world.
Coincidentally, bombs are being detonated at churches. Each of the churches contain original pieces of artwork that has been donated by Richard Tillman. Tillman has hired various art restorers to paint a copy of the originals.
Max took Emily to his father's house. Both are strong willed, they have a heated discussion, and Emily left to go back to her life. She went to her boyfriend's home where she stepped into a gruesome scene.
Leaving the horrific scene behind her, she found herself the target of a kidnapping. When the kidnapping attempt failed, attemps were made on her life. She escaped and once again cheated death.
The next thing you know, they are on a T-FLAC jet heading for Cordoba, Spain. While on the plane, Max and Emily revisited their past relationiship by making love. At the Cordoba bombing site, it is discovered that the artwork is being use to hold the boms.
Further investigation brings them to Colorado where Richard Tillman lives. There is yet another attempt on Emily's life while she is in Colorado. From Colorado they travel to T-FLAC headquarters in Montana.
Emily is medically treated while at the headquarters and is kidnapped. The book ends with the bombers being captured.
Throughout the course of the book Max and Emily's relationship develops into something they both want.
Opinion:
From Italy, Spain, Colorado, Montana, and back to Italy there is travel in abundance. Glimpses of what an agents life is life through travel and action. Action, travel and romance are packed into this work. The action is fast-paced and completely unexpected. Chemistry and passion are absolutely explosive between Max and Emily. The knowledge displayed of a counter-terrorist agent is first-rate.
Although the description could have been wonderful, if an abundance of description had been included, the book would have been twice as long.
Review:
Travel, action and romance all come together through the various twists of the plot. The evidence is displayed well for the reader to see. The author pays attention to every detail as well as showing different personalities in her characters.
Author:
Cherry Adair is the author of six action-adventure novels as well as a trilogy. She has won numerous awards for her books. She is currently working on the next T-FLAC mission.
