White House Party Crashers: Much Ado Over Nothing?

Annie Jean Brewer
The news has been filled lately by a Virginia couple who allegedly crashed the posh party recently thrown by President Obama for the Indian Prime Minister. Tareq and Michaele Salahi claim that they were invited, while White House officials have declared that they were not.

Think about this: If the Salahis were not invited to this party, how did they manage to get past all of the security checkpoints the Secret Service had in place? Is our government security so lax that just anyone could waltz in uninvited? If this is the case, then we know now why Osama Bin Laden was never located - he's hiding out in the White House!

Consider this as well: Crashing such an important government function is highly illegal. Would YOU commit a crime then post the evidence on Facebook?

Get REAL people!

At most what probably happened was either a miscommunication or somebody invited them without permission and now they are too afraid to speak up thanks to all of the fuss. If they DID manage to crash that party, then we need to kiss our collective American behinds goodbye cause that shows our governmental security is not worth a rat's behind.

Considering that unemployment is at an incredible high and our governmental finances are in the crapper with all of the money Obama has been spending, why in the world are we wasting so much time and resources trying to vilify these people?

If the Secret Service cannot be trusted to run security on a simple party, then we need to scrap the whole program and start over with rent-a-cops. At least THEY know how to do their jobs right without breaking the bank in the process!

The Salahi's have been dragged through the mud with this incident, and we need to leave them alone. If they DID crash, the important question is HOW so that we can fix it. When a cow breaks out of the barn you don't beat the cow, you fix the hole. If they did NOT crash that party, we need to find out who issued the invitation and leave it at that.

So the story is over guys. Please let's get on with our lives already and fire the numbnuts who started all the fuss to begin with!

This is very interesting. I wonder what the outcome will be.

I first heard of this story through an article on AC, wondering about the security if they had just walked in uninvited as was at first suggested. Later stories saying they were invited as reported here makes one wonder as to who is handing out the invites if they cannot be traced back to a source. This couple have had their lives put through the wringer over someone elses mistake and they are being left high and dry to face the music while some faceless bureaucrat hides anonymously and gets away with this.

I'm with you, it's just that interesting.

I heard them say tonight that they were invited and will prove it. We shall see. Good reporting.
