White Linen

Shirley A Mandel
Lord,
there is a parade
of gloriously arrayed
tulips in Your garden,
in flowing robes
of living silk
and glowing colors.

But
if You want me
to be a simple flower
simply clad in a white linen dress
like a daisy,
then I will thus dress myself.
