White Wedding Invitations
Sending out white wedding invitations doesn't mean that they have to be plain. Use a font in your accent color or use a black font and tie each invitation with a gold ribbon. Your envelopes can match the ribbon color for a burst of color.
White Wedding Bridesmaids
If the bride is wearing a white dress; select a color for the bridesmaids' dresses that won't take away from what the bride is wearing. A dress in a golden or champagne hue with shoes in the same color would look sophisticated and classic. Bridesmaids can carry bouquets in white flowers such as calla lilies, daisies, white roses, orchids, or hydrangeas. What kinds of flowers you can use in your bouquets will largely depend on the season and availability in your area, so consult with a florist well in advance of the ceremony to ensure you get the bouquets you want.
White Wedding Reception Decoration Ideas
The table linens for a mostly white wedding reception should of course be white. Instead of using a plain white tablecloth, find linens with a damask pattern for added visual appeal. If the idea of white tablecloths strikes you as having too much white, then choose linens in a light champagne color. When selecting white dinnerware look for plates in interesting shapes, such as rounded rectangular plates. Simple clear fluted stemware can be used in your white wedding. For a white wedding centerpiece, there are many different options. One centerpiece idea is to use clear vases filled halfway with water. Put decorative dark colored craft rocks at the bottom and fill the vase with white flowers, such as full hydrangea blooms or white roses. Another centerpiece idea is to put dark colored sand in shorter rectangular vases and then "plant" white flowers in the sand to give the centerpiece a full look.
Other white wedding reception decoration ideas are to hang white paper lanterns from the ceiling and have white flowers in white vases or decorative flowerpots throughout the venue. Make sure to use plenty of romantic soft lighting throughout the room, stringing strands of small lights on any beams or hanging them along the walls.
